By creating truly intuitive products that allow EV drivers to charge their vehicles at home and work, we are changing the game in the industry as it enters mass market. Based in Stewartby (between Milton Keynes and Bedford), we manufacture our charge points in-house and have a team of highly qualified electricians to install our charge points across the UK.
We are looking for an experienced Mobile App Developer who will report to the Director of Engineering. The Mobile App Developer will design state-of-the-art mobile app user experiences for Electric Vehicle charge points, primarily using React Native. You will work as a part of a cross-discipline engineering team developing IoT products comprising of firmware, hardware, cloud servers, mobile apps and websites. You will be responsible for the design and development of our bespoke mobile smartphone application delivering the most intuitive experience to our customers in respect of their charging of Electric Vehicles. You will have the opportunity to be involved in developing across platform applications.
You’ll need:
- A genuine passion for technology and innovation
- 3+ years of experience as an app developer
- Expertise in React Native (essential)
- Cross-platform development experience (a strong advantage)
- Proven experience with cloud infrastructure and real-time databases such as GCP, Firebase, or AWS
- Solid understanding of agile development practices and project management tools
- Proficiency with development toolchains including Git, JIRA (or similar), and unit testing frameworks
- Familiarity with home automation platforms and voice assistants (e.g. Google Home, Alexa)
- Experience in web development using React, JavaScript, and TypeScript
- A good eye for UI/UX and the ability to contribute to the design process
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset
- Excellent verbal communication and a strong command of English
