IQVIA is looking for a Key Account Manager to join our client and work in the field of rare diseases specifically in haematology. This is a national role – so the successful candidate will have full autonomy across the UK and be responsible for driving sales and achieving targets. This is a real opportunity to shine, get noticed and drive product usage to enhance patient outcomes.

A real desire and drive to achieve sales success, together with a passion to improve patient outcomes is needed for this role. Previous experience in haematology/rare diseases is not necessarily needed.

Responsibilities

  • Promote our client’s rare haematology disease product to designated customers to achieve planned objectives. The successful candidate will therefore need to develop a high depth of therapy area/brand knowledge.
  • Build relationships with secondary care customers to gain product endorsement, build advocacy and achieve sales targets.
  • Development of key opinion leaders.
  • Prioritisation of activity in multiple accounts across a large geography.
  • Share local business and market insight with our client and cross-functional team.
  • Build and implement effective business account plans for the product.

Qualifications

  • ABPI qualified
  • ‘A’ Level or ‘Higher’ in science subjects and ideally a Life Science Degree.
  • Experience working in secondary care/specialty medicine.
  • Effective working knowledge of secondary care, NHS structures and relevant customer types.
  • Excellent planning and prioritising skills and be able to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Excellent selling and influencing skills and good commercial acumen.
  • Experience in project management or project leadership is desirable.
