A large food manufacturer are seeking a passionate and driven Engineering Shift Manager. What You Will Do:
  • Lead and manage a team of Maintenance Engineers, Apprentices, Technical Operatives, and Vehicle Technicians to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Oversee day-to-day engineering performance on production lines and wider factory operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with standards.
  • Manage preventative maintenance, repairs, and modifications of the fleet, trailers, and ancillary equipment.
  • Record and track all maintenance activities using the company's CMMS system, including ordering and receipting spare parts.
  • Develop and coach your team, identifying training needs and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, contractors, and suppliers to drive improvement projects and deliver operational excellence.
What You Will Bring:
  • Minimum HNC certification or Advanced Apprenticeship in Engineering, with a strong foundation in maintenance strategy and practical experience.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team in a high-pressure environment.
  • Experience in a fast-paced FMCG or similar industrial setting, with a focus on operational excellence.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
