️ Head of Operations – Wealth & Investment Management

Are you an experienced operations leader with a background in wealth and financial planning? A fast-growing, partner-owned investment and wealth management firm in the City of London is seeking a dynamic Head of Operations to lead and evolve its operations function across investment management and financial planning arms.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a multi-functional operations team covering trade settlement, reconciliations, reporting, client maintenance, and risk.
- Oversee back-office platforms and infrastructure, working closely with outsourced technology partners.
- Own the production and evolution of management information (MI), KPIs, and strategic business data.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across trading, compliance, finance, client services, and the front office to support growth initiatives.
- Drive automation, systems integration, and operational improvements across wealth and financial planning platforms.
- Maintain oversight of regulatory and risk processes including tax, data integrity, valuations, and business continuity planning.
- Act as the senior owner of data architecture — designing how data flows and is integrated across the business.
Key Requirements
- Significant experience within UK-based wealth and investment management operations.
- Strong knowledge of middle- and back-office processes across both discretionary portfolio management and financial planning.
- Proven track record in MI design, operational risk, systems management, and process improvement.
- Leadership experience, with the ability to manage and develop high-performing teams.
- Familiarity with investment reporting, tax reporting, custodian relationships, and regulatory controls (including FCA frameworks).
- Comfortable with platform and system migration projects and data harmonisation initiatives.
