  • Bench-fit tooling assemblies using grinding and polishing techniques.
  • Carry out first-off inspection, produce process documentation, and maintain machine logs.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and basic fault-finding on EDM machines and associated equipment.

  • Experience with Kaizen/lean manufacturing techniques.
  • Adaptable, resilient, and able to work in changing environments.
  • Good communication skills and general computer literacy (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Understanding of customer expectations, quality standards, and the cost of failure.
  • Proven experience operating sinker EDM machines (typically 3–5 years).
  • Knowledge of SolidWorks and basic CAM programming for EDM (or ability to edit programs).
  • Skilled in hand finishing and electrode dressing (grinding, hand tools).
  • Exposure to Wire EDM (Esprit), CNC milling/grinding, or CMM metrology is advantageous.

Experience / Education

  • Previous experience within injection mould manufacturing required.
  • 3 years relevant experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

What We Can Offer – Die-Sink EDM

  • Competitive salary based on experience.
  • Full-time, permanent position within a specialist manufacturing environment.
  • Opportunities for skills development and progression.
  • Supportive, collaborative toolroom environment.
