We are looking for a Product Manager to own the product roadmap and lead the development of customer-centric features that drive measurable value. You’ll collaborate closely with leadership, design, engineering, and customer-facing teams to translate insights and ideas into actionable, strategic product features. This role offers the opportunity to drive both discovery and execution while ensuring that features are delivered on time and meet the needs of our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Product Leadership: Own and maintain a clear, outcome-oriented product roadmap, aligning customer needs, business priorities, and team capacity. Serve as the central point of contact for product direction, ensuring alignment and engagement across all business stakeholders.
- Discover & Voice of the Customer: Engage directly with customers to understand their workflows and pain points. Lead structured discovery efforts, including customer interviews and analytics, to prioritise product initiatives that matter most.
- Story Creation & Delivery: Create detailed epics and user stories using Behavior-Driven Development (BDD). Translate senior stakeholder conversations into clear, actionable deliverables and collaborate with engineering to break them down into scoping-ready work.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with design and engineering teams to turn ideas into structured product work. Support sprint planning, grooming, and release cycles to ensure features are delivered with quality and clarity.
- Hands-On Execution: Actively participate in all stages of the product development process, from shaping features and defining acceptance criteria to tracking post-launch outcomes. Ensure steady progress on day-to-day tasks while steering longer-term initiatives.
- Data-Led Decision Making: Utilise product analytics tools (e.g., Looker Studio, Google Analytics) to guide prioritisation and measure feature success. Partner with Data Analysts and other teams to track key metrics and report on product impact.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Product Manager in a SaaS or B2B software environment.
- Ability to work independently within a remote-first team while maintaining strong engagement and collaboration across departments.
- Strong technical awareness, with the ability to engage confidently with engineers and understand technical constraints and trade-offs.
- Experience in creating and managing product roadmaps, converting insights into deliverables, and ensuring that product features are completed successfully.
- Proficiency in using tools like ProductBoard, Jira, and other collaboration platforms to maintain alignment and progress.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain product decisions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- A strong understanding of user research practices, agile delivery methods, and product metrics.
- Experience writing user stories, epics, and testable acceptance criteria using BDD and/or Gherkin syntax.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deliver on what’s most important for the business.
- A balance of creativity and realism – excited about new ideas but able to deliver them effectively.
Desirable:
- Experience working in regulated or compliance-focused environments.
- Familiarity with the safety-critical sectors the product supports (e.g., lifting, fire services, renewables).
- Enthusiasm for scaling new products and an awareness of challenges such as data entry and standardisation.
