A leading civil engineering contractor is seeking a Site Engineer / Site Manager to join their growing team, delivering a range of infrastructure projects across the East Midlands. Specialising in Section 278 works, road construction, groundworks, and wider civils packages, this contractor has a strong reputation for quality, safety, and delivering on time. The Role: This is a hybrid position ideally suited to a Site Engineer looking to step up and take on some Site Management responsibilities, or someone already performing both roles. You will play a key part in setting out, supervising subcontractors, and helping to manage daily site operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Setting out for groundworks, roads, and drainage
- Managing site activities, ensuring health and safety compliance
- Coordinating with subcontractors and the wider project team
- Supporting with site paperwork and reporting
- Maintaining quality control and assisting with project delivery
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Site Engineer in civil engineering/groundworks
- Comfortable taking on or learning site management duties
- Knowledge of S278 works and infrastructure schemes
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- SMSTS or SSSTS and First Aid (preferred)
