Cloud Network Engineer | Azure, Zscaler, FortiGate, Zero Trust | Fintech My client is a leading FinTech firm specialising in SaaS products that provide real-time market data and pricing, rivalling platforms like Bloomberg and Reuters. With about 700 employees worldwide and headquarters in London, this company is a key player in financial technology. We are looking for a talented Cloud Network Engineer to join a growing global team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong cloud networking experience and the ability to collaborate with multiple teams to deliver secure, scalable, and efficient network solutions. You’ll be joining an immediate team of 3 (Head of IT Service and Applications, IT Service Manager, IT Operations Manager) and you will be reporting to the IT Operations Manager. This is a hybrid role where you will be expected to be in the London office a few times a month. What you will do Oversee and refine cloud-based network solutions in Microsoft Azure , including Azure Virtual WAN and third-party security network virtual appliances. Work with security teams to implement Zero Trust networking , using tools like Zscaler and FortiGate firewalls to protect the network perimeter. Contribute to agile processes and continuously improve network solutions by leveraging cloud-native technologies and security best practices. Participate in discovery workshops, advisory boards , and technical design authorities to align with project requirements and drive effective decisions. Partner with IT Change functions for the onboarding of new technologies , balancing technical tasks with stakeholder management. Work closely with external Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and internal teams to align on technical solutions, deliver projects, and maintain cloud infrastructure health. What you will Bring: Proven expertise in managing cloud-based networking in Microsoft Azure environments , with familiarity in Azure Virtual WAN and Zero Trust access solutions. Exposure to Zscaler, FortiGate firewalls , and multicast networking , paired with a strong grasp of enterprise security toolsets . Ability to simplify complex technical concepts for business stakeholders, senior management and peers. Proven experience using network monitoring tools to ensure seamless network performance and troubleshoot issues. Strong experience in automating network management tasks and configurations Proven experience in working with external Managed Service Providers (MSPs) , acting as the key liaison between the MSP and internal teams.
