Assistant Financial Accountant

We’re working with a fast-growing, modern skincare brand that’s making waves in the beauty industry – and they’re looking for an Assistant Financial Accountant to join their close-knit team on an initial 12-week contract, with the potential for a permanent role.Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this is a brilliant opportunity to gain hands-on experience across all areas of finance in a high-growth, product-led environment. This is offered on a hybrid basis with 3 days in the office. Key responsibilities: 

• Supporting US order processing and review
• Managing accounts payable and weekly payment runs
• Handling employee expenses
• Preparing weekly KPIs with insights on product launches and promotions
• Producing BDM dashboards and analysis
• Assisting with payroll, annual PSA/Taxed Award Scheme and P11Ds
• Managing commission and rebates for BDMs and affiliates 
• Supporting promotion forecasting and planning
• Overseeing Amazon replenishment stock checks and order uploads
• Building stock knowledge from product/SKU updates and marketing briefings
• Performing balance sheet reconciliations, including intercompany
• Preparing monthly KPIs and analytical reporting 

Key skills: 

• Ideally studying towards an accounting qualification (AAT/ACCA/CIMA)
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
• Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Excellent Excel skills and confidence with data analysis
• A genuine interest in the beauty or consumer goods industry is a plus!
