SEN Experienced Teaching Assistant Teaching Personnel are working with a lovely school in the Portsmouth area, who require experienced Teaching Assistants to support children who have Special Educational Needs. The school are set in lovely grounds and cater for Primary aged children with moderate to complex needs, to include Social and Communication difficulties, Speech and Language needs, learning difficulties, and Autism. As the successful SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting the learning and development of children with additional needs. You will work closely with experienced teaching staff to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where every student is encouraged to reach their full potential. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with additional needs, both inside and outside the classroom. Support students with academic tasks, including reading, writing, and numeracy, adapting materials and activities to suit individual needs. Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging their independence and self-esteem. Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to monitor student progress and contribute to the assessment process.
