About the role:
We are looking for a PMO Analyst / Project Coordinator to join our dynamic Project Delivery team. In this role, you will combine PMO oversight and structured governance with hands-on coordination of key projects. This is a pivotal role that ensures our project portfolio remains on track, compliant, and aligned with strategic business goals — while also providing day-to-day coordination support to project managers, stakeholders, and external partners.
Key role and responsibilities:
- PMO Support & Governance
- Act as the key support for the PMO Lead, driving governance, reporting, and best practices.
- Maintain and enforce project management frameworks, templates, and compliance processes.
- Develop dashboards and KPIs to report on project performance, risk, and resource usage.
- Track portfolio-level dependencies, risks, and change controls.
- Manage documentation repositories and lessons-learned libraries.
- Support PMO audits, financial analysis, and compliance tracking.
- Help optimise the use of project tools such as MS Project, Jira, and Power BI.
- Project Coordination
- Support multiple projects by coordinating timelines, deliverables, and resource plans.
- Facilitate meetings, workshops, and governance forums; prepare accurate minutes and action logs.
- Act as a central point of contact for project queries and stakeholder engagement.
- Track progress, flag issues, and escalate risks to ensure timely project delivery.
- Liaise with internal teams, vendors, and suppliers to monitor project interdependencies.
- Drive continuous improvement in project execution and coordination efficiency.
Skills & experience required:
- Essential:
- Proven experience in a PMO Analyst or Project Coordinator role, preferably within IT or business change environments.
- Strong understanding of project governance, reporting, and risk management.
- Experience working with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Excellent organisation and multitasking capabilities.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills across all levels.
- Analytical mindset with experience in generating reports, dashboards, and insights.
- Proficiency with project and PMO tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Power BI, Excel, SharePoint).
- Ability to influence teams to follow governance processes and drive high standards.
- Desirable:
- Degree in Business, Project Management, or related field.
- Experience within the Energy or Utilities sector.
- Professional qualifications (e.g., PRINCE2, AgilePM, PMI, or P3O).
- Familiarity with ITIL and change/release management practices.
