One of the fastest growing engineering consultancies based across the globe is seeking a number of Building Control professionals, currently with a focus on a Building Regulations Principal Designer to operate across London and the areas North of London. This exciting opportunity would suit someone looking to work on a diverse portfolio of projects from large retail and commercial clients, as well as a varied portfolio across residential, office, and domestic.

Responsibilities of the Senior Building Control Surveyor include:

  • Ensuring building plans align with current building regulations and design standards.
  • Conduct assessment of proposed plans.
  • Carry out plan checks, review drawings and site inspections.
  • Contribute to business development and nurture the company's existing client base.
  • Provide assistance and support to the rest of the Building Control Team where required.

The Senior Building Control Surveyor should ideally hold:

  • At least 3 years in a Building Control Surveyor position.
  • Class 2 registration minimum, in process or completion.
  • Membership with CABE, CIOB and/or RICS.
  • Up to date on new BSA building regulations, construction legislation and processes.
  • Keen eye for detail and meticulous planning and organisation.
