The Senior Capital Projects Manager role: We have an exciting opportunity to become our Senior Capital Projects Manager! As part of a varied role, you’ll manage all operational aspects of Capital Work, including Barnsley Homes Standard, Programmed Replacements, Major Adaptations, Extensive structural and building safety compliance work under our contract obligations. Whilst developing and implementing service improvements including incorporating legislative changes into the service area, you’ll be an innovative leader of all staff in the service area.
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Responsible for the operational delivery within the service area, ensuring Health and Safety legislation and good practice are adhered to.
- Lead on the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the business.
- Maintain and build effective working relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, and applicable sub-contractors, exploring best practice which results in positive change to bring about efficiencies.
- Responsible for authorising aspects of building safety within the service area ensuring operatives are adequately trained and competent to deliver works.
- Ensure the service area delivers a customer-focused service and a high quality, efficient service where customer safety is at the forefront.
- Actively engage in the delivery of all business and service improvement plans contributing to the social value of our contract obligations.
What we’re looking for:
- Level 6 management qualification and management experience or willingness to undertake this qualification within 12 months of commencement in the role.
- Health & Safety qualification, SMSTS or equivalent.
- Willingness to undertake a qualification in relation to the compliant management of fire door installation and fire stopping work.
- An inspirational leader that leads by example to create a positive working environment.
- Demonstrate a proven track record of delivering targets and goals.
