WRG is supporting a property & construction consultancy that has been established for over 30 years. The business has won numerous awards for the quality of their work and how they treat their employees. The business is looking to hire an experienced CDM/ Principal Designer to oversee a diverse portfolio of property & construction projects (residential, education, public sector, leisure, education, office and retail). The role would be focused around Yorkshire/ North East, where our clients' key relationships are based. The role would suit an experienced CDM/ PD professional who wants to work autonomously and manage their own projects/ client base; you will be comfortable in a client-facing environment and demonstrate leadership qualities.
Responsibilities:
- Offer a variety of health & safety/ CDM services to a diverse client base.
- Oversee design risk registers and ensure that they are updated on a regular basis as projects progress and carry out design risk reviews, along with design team meetings and offer input regarding safety in design.
- Familiar with all associated documentation relating to CDM 2015 e.g. CPPs, PCIs, H&S file etc. and ensure that the documents are updated regularly.
- Liaise with various stakeholders on projects (client, principal contractor, architect etc.) and keep them updated in relation to H&S/ CDM matters.
- Ensure that RAMS are in place for each project.
- Develop client relationships and build new ones.
Requirements:
- NEBOSH Construction or equivalent.
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.
- Member of IOSH, APS, IIRSM or a similar professional body.
- Excellent working knowledge of 2015 CDM Regulations.
- Good knowledge of the BSA and changes affecting the industry.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
