About The Company Ingfield Manor School is a non-maintained special school and part of Salutem Care and Education who have services across England and Wales supporting adults and children in residential and educational Environments. The aim of our services is to provide a safe and stimulating environment that enables children and young people to flourish and grow. Ingfield Manor School caters for students aged 3—19 years with neurological motor impairment such as Cerebral Palsy and associated medical and sensory needs. Following the Conductive Education approach, the focus is on the holistic development of everyone, including their physical and communication skills. We are currently recruiting Learning Support Workers to join our teams of staff who support groups of around eight students in all aspects of the learning day. For all posts you should have a related level 3 qualification, or the willingness to acquire it ‘on the job’ and be experienced in working with children or young people. You will be involved in all parts of the student’s day as a member of a team creating a learning environment that delivers the curriculum to ensure student progress, maintain excellent standards of care and ensure health and safety in accordance with the school’s ethos. About The Role Job Overview: To ensure good use of resources and to be part of a team ensuring that the learning environment isadequately resourced to deliver the curriculum to ensure student progress, maintain excellent standardsof care, ensure health and safety; and compliance with policies and procedures. Hours: 40 hours per week (full time), Term Time Only, to include shifts: 7.00am – 3.30pm, 12.00 – 9.00pm and 8.30am – 4.30pm. Opportunities for flexible working available (early morning, 6.30am – 10.30am / evening, 3:30pm – 9:30pm). Salary £20,855 – £22,924 pa (£11.69 – £12.85 per hour).(FTE 52wks £24,315 – £26,728). Dependent upon experience Responsibilities: Participate actively in creating an appropriately stimulating learning environment for pupils in accordance with the school’s ethos. Implement group and individual educational programmes for pupils under the direction of the team leader and to be involved in associated planning and preparation. Be committed to Conductive Education. Contribute to the development of the overall programme for the group of pupils. Contribute to writing individual aims for pupils. Have responsibility for maintaining all records for specified pupils. Be involved in all aspects of the pupil’s day. Provide good standards of physical and emotional care. Ensure the physical environment is maintained to high standards of safety, hygiene, and presentation. Participate in the staff training and development programme. Maintain professional contact with parents or guardians Share and advance the school’s commitment to Every Child Matters. To work seamlessly across department or team boundaries in a collaborative and constructive manner to implement the school’s strategic direction. To demonstrate a commitment to customer service excellence and deliver against the requirements of the school’s quality framework. Any other duties as may be reasonably directed by the Principal.
