Permanent vacancy - Contracts Manager (Civils/Road/Grounds work)
Hours: Monday to Friday 08.30 to 17.00
Salary: 35,000 - 50,000 DOE
Location - Kirkintilloch
Our client based in Kirkintilloch is looking for a Contracts Manager with a Civils or road/Grounds work background to join their busy team. We are looking for experience so that you can run with this role to the highest of standard. Ideally, we are looking for someone with drive and ambition who is looking for a long-time career.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing, motivating and communicating to site teams on multiple projects
- Cost control of projects, minimising costs and maximising production
- Liaising with Estimating and Surveying Departments to ensure commercial viability of projects
- Taking an active role in Chain Management Initiative to ensure relationships are developed with subcontractors
- Ensuring compliance with health & safety requirements
- Combining strong commercial acumen with well-developed interpersonal, problem-solving, communication and negotiation skills
- Supporting the Project Manager and Procurement & Commercial Manager to deliver strategies and contracts
- Providing robust post contract commercial management which will support the project goals and objectives
- Supporting the delivery of departmental KPIs and objectives such as savings in total cost of ownership, value engineering and safety performance
- Having primary responsibility for all delivery aspects of the project, ensuring a scheduled programme of work is delivered on time and in a safe and compliant manner
- Ensuring that delivery program and resources are in place and are delivering as per contract
- Taking a pivotal role in shaping and delivering the program for all works to the customer expectation
- Managing and assisting in the selection of staff and subcontractors
- Working with Project Managers and site managers to ensure project milestones are met across all work areas
- Managing the relationships between internal personnel, the project teams and the customer to ensure that the customer's requirements are fully achieved
- Managing daily operations and production planning
- Overall accountability for all aspects of engagement with client delivery management teams
- Developing successful and sustainable long term business relationships with the client
- Accountable for defining and executing company strategy in respect to customers
- Actively managing all client IT interfaces to help deliver our P/L and ensure our compliance with their requirements
