Youth Worker – Kidlington A position recently became available for a Youth Worker to join a lovely specialist school in Kidlington. The role would be to start ASAP! The school looking to hire a Youth Worker are well known and highly regarded in their area. They are known to put the needs of their students above all else and feel that mental health plays an important role in a child's development. You would have access to not only the opportunity to work with lovely children, but also a supportive and friendly environment where you are able to grow in your career and add valuable experience to your CV. The role as a Youth Worker will take place in a specialist school, where you will support students between the ages of 2 and 19. There is a primary and secondary side, so you will have the option of deciding where you feel most comfortable to work. The school look after children and young people who have been identified as having social, emotional and mental health needs. These children also have learning difficulties and some have been diagnosed with Autism or Down's Syndrome. To be successful in this role as a mental health teaching assistant – you will need to be kind and compassionate, caring and take initiative well. You will also need to problem solve well and be able to adapt your approach to meet the needs of the children.
