An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and dedicated PE Teacher to join a vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Southwark from September 2025. This is a full-time, permanent role, ideal for a teacher with a passion for sport, fitness, and holistic student development. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality PE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 opportunities available depending on experience).
  • Plan and deliver engaging practical and theory-based lessons, adapting to the needs of all students.
  • Organise and participate in extracurricular sports clubs, teams, and competitions.
  • Promote physical literacy, health, and well-being in line with the national curriculum.
  • Contribute to whole-school initiatives on student health, discipline, and achievement.
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate assessment records.
  • Uphold high standards of behaviour and conduct within the PE department and school-wide.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in a relevant subject (Sport Science, Physical Education, etc.).
  • Experience teaching PE in a UK secondary school setting (ECTs welcome to apply).
  • Strong classroom management and motivational skills.
  • Ability to lead or support a range of sports and physical activities.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students.
