Yorkare Homes is an award-winning care home provider based in East Yorkshire. The Home, in the heart of Haxby, provides both residential and dementia care for up to 63 residents. We are currently recruiting for Senior Care Assistants (Nights). This role involves some weekend work.
The role of a Senior Care Assistant is to ensure the needs of residents are met in a person-centred way that respects their dignity and promotes independence. It is essential that all our staff are:
- Flexible, caring, and compassionate

- willing to undertake any necessary training to develop skills and competency relevant to the role
- Sensitive to the needs of others
- An active team player who can also work on their own initiative
- Possess good communication skills with colleagues and residents
Overview of Job Description
- Support the overall management of the home or be in charge of a specific specialty
- Promote the philosophy of privacy, dignity, independence, choice, rights, and fulfilment for all residents, treating everyone with respect
- Support and guide Care Assistants in providing personal care and supporting residents with diverse needs and disabilities
- Induct, train, and supervise Care Assistants as required
- Safely administer medications following the appropriate documentation, MAR charts, and Yorkare Homes policies
- Report and record important information accurately and promptly, including using computer systems
- Address queries or concerns from residents, relatives, or visitors, and escalate to senior managers if unresolved
