An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Turning Point's Leicestershire and Rutland Substance Use Services as a Criminal Justice Recovery Worker. This post sits within the Turning Point Leicestershire and Rutland Criminal Justice Team which consists of other Recovery Workers, an Advanced Recovery Practitioner and is overseen by the Criminal Justice Team Leader. This post is based centrally within Leicester City but there is an expectation to travel throughout Leicestershire to our county hubs and also co-location with the Probation Service. A driving licence and car access is essential, and you will be required to use your own car to travel between sites on a daily basis (expenses will be provided.)
Role Responsibility
- Managing a caseload of service users whose treatment with Turning Point is enforced by the courts, including ATRs and DRRs, licence and post sentence supervision
- Quality liaison with Offender Managers and the Courts, maintaining excellent relationships with key partner agencies and extensive multiagency working
- Attendance at Leicester Magistrates Court to promote the use of community sentence treatment requirements
- Commitment to achieving targets related to Continuity of Care
- Proactive engagement of service users to reduce the risks related to their substance misuse and further offending

The successful candidate will be a highly effective communicator, efficient and organised and have a real passion for supporting service users to engage in treatment. You must be engaging, enthusiastic and passionate, have a keen interest in the Criminal Justice System and willingness to work with offenders to help turn their lives around is a must.
Salary
Starting salary £25,116 with annual pay progression up to £29,383 (Dependent on experience you may be offered a salary above the initial starting salary). You will have opportunities to progress your career with a structured learning journey and clearly defined career pathways that will enable you to achieve your long-term goals and work to your strengths.
