We are recruiting on behalf of a prestigious independent school in Bristol for a Biology Teacher to join their thriving science department from September. This is a full-time role covering the entire academic year, with potential for extension.

About the Role
The successful candidate will teach Biology across KS3, KS4, and KS5, delivering high-quality lessons that engage, challenge, and motivate students. You’ll be involved in planning, preparation, marking, and departmental activities, contributing to the continued success of the science faculty.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Biology from KS3 to KS5, including GCSE and A-Level
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and challenging lessons
- Mark and assess student work in line with school and exam board expectations
- Contribute to curriculum planning and the development of resources
- Support student progress, offering guidance and intervention as needed
- Work collaboratively with colleagues in the science department and across the school
Candidate Requirements:
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and a degree in Biology or a related subject
- Experience teaching Biology up to A-Level
- Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for science education
- Excellent communication, planning, and organisational skills
- A commitment to high standards and inclusive teaching
- Experience in an independent school is desirable but not essential
