Location: Braintree, Essex

Pay: £15.87 per hour (Umbrella) (£12.70 PAYE an hour)

Hours: 40 hours per week

Contract: 13 Weeks Temp to Perm

Room Focus: Predominantly Baby Room (flexibility required across age groups)

About the Role: Action for Children is looking for a passionate Early Years Practitioner to join our dedicated team at Spring Carousel Nursery, located within the vibrant Carousel Children’s Centre. You will play a crucial role in supporting children aged 6 months to 5 years, focusing mainly in our baby room but with flexibility to rotate across rooms as needed. We are looking for someone who is nurturing, enthusiastic, and dedicated to creating a safe and stimulating environment where children can grow and thrive.

Shift Pattern:

  • 3 days: 8:00am – 6:00pm
  • 1 day: 9:00am – 6:00pm
  • 1 day: 8:00am – 1:00pm

About Spring Carousel:

  • Operating Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:30am – 6:00pm
  • Three spacious classrooms for exploration and learning
  • Large garden with a mud kitchen, outdoor play equipment, and forest school area
  • On-site playing field for physical development and outdoor adventures
  • A nurturing team focused on helping children feel secure, confident, and supported

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Childcare (or equivalent qualification)
  • Experience working in early years settings, especially with babies
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
  • Ability to attend a face-to-face interview as part of the selection process
