Position: Business Development Manager – EV Charging Location: North (UK) Job Type: Full-Time Job Summary: My client is hiring for a Business Development Manager who will be a pivotal member of the sales team, responsible for shaping and defining the sales strategy within the built environment sector. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, and driving the growth of their EV charging solutions within the developers, landlords, managing agents, and property developer markets. Key Responsibilities: Sales Strategy Development : Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for the built environment sector, targeting developers, landlords, managing agents, and property developers. Analyse market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats. Set sales targets and objectives in alignment with company goals. Business Development : Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the target markets. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including developers, landlords, managing agents, and property developers. Conduct market research to identify potential clients and partners. Client Engagement : Engage with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored EV charging solutions. Present and demonstrate our products and services to potential clients. Negotiate and close deals, ensuring client satisfaction and long-term partnerships. Collaboration and Leadership : Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and operations, to ensure seamless delivery of services. Provide leadership and guidance to junior members of the business development team. Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking functions. Reporting and Analysis : Track and report on sales performance, providing regular updates to senior management. Analyse sales data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Develop and present business development plans and progress reports. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA preferred. Minimum of 2 years of experience in business development or sales, preferably within the built environment or EV charging industry. Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth. Strong understanding of the built environment sector, including developers, landlords, managing agents, and property developers. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners. Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills.
