We are looking for a part-time Seamstress and Finisher to join our team as we venture into a brave new world of fabrics for interiors, exhibitions, and retail. We are looking for someone with experience on a Sewing Machine that also has an eye for detail.
Location: Golden Cross, East Sussex (BN27 3RP)
Hours: Part-Time, flexible β can be days, evenings, short shifts or long shifts

About the company / role: Simply Beautiful Print supply a wide range of print services including Litho Print, Digital Print, Signage and Large Format Printing into a variation of Commercial, Industrial, SME and Bluechip organisations.
As our new Fabric Seamstress and Finisher, you will work alongside the existing team to run our print and finishing equipment. Full training will be given, but let us know if you have any experience with:
- Sewing Machines
- Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator etc.)
- Caldera Rip Centre
- Agfa Avinci Dye Sublimation Printer
- Agfa Anapurna Hybrid LED Printer
- HP Latex Printer
- Canon Fine Art Printer
- Vinyl Cutting
- Laminating
- CNC Finishing including Router, Knives and Creasing
- Sewing Machine and Conveyor for Banners and Fabrics
Ideally, you will have a proven track record in Sewing or Finishing, good attention to detail, be hardworking, hungry for success, and looking to join a rapidly growing team.

Principal responsibilities / knowledge / experience:
- A minimum of 1 year of Sewing experience
- Prior client-facing experience a must.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure
- Checking sizes, print against proofs and coordinating the workflow.
- Prompt and accurate reporting to the Director as required.
- Be able to manage the job list to maximize efficiency
- Maintain a professional relationship with customers and ensure they are kept satisfied with the company's services.
- Effective communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Experienced at managing expectations internally within production and sales.
- Adobe Creative Suite literate, with solid knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign. Working knowledge of Final Cut an advantage.
- Meeting of service level agreements
- Able to effectively and accurately present and specify the company's products and services.
The role will be very flexible as we canβt predict busy periods of the week, our normal shift is 8am-5pm (Β½ hour unpaid lunch) 5 days a week based from our factory in Golden Cross, with the potential of lots of additional hours in evenings and on weekends. The office is located in a rural setting, 15 minutes outside of Lewes and therefore own transport is essential.
