We are working with an established Agent based in Tilbury who is looking to recruit a Sea Freight Operator. This role is within the Agency department, covering various responsibilities such as manifesting (requiring good Excel skills), customs procedures, and CDS. Ideally, candidates should have experience with both Export and Import processes, but training can be provided for one of these areas.

The role involves boarding ships mainly at Tilbury and occasionally at London Gateway. Due to the nature of the work with multiple agents, flexibility with out-of-hours work is required, including working within a team environment. There is an option to work from home during out-of-hours periods. Weekend work is on a rota basis, typically 2-3 hours per day, with overtime paid.

Day-to-day tasks primarily involve in-office processing of Export and Import Customs entries. A car driver is needed to drive to London Gateway when required. Working hours are from 9 am to 5 pm, with flexibility for out-of-hours and weekend work. Salary depends on experience.
