We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Cardiff to assist with the appointment of a Hostel Cleanings Operative, on a 3-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £12.21 - £15.77 per Hour
Summary: The Hostel Cleansing Operative will be responsible for providing high quality cleaning service in flats and communal area in Hostel/s across the City, which provide accommodation for vulnerable families and single people with complex needs.
Responsibilities:
- To provide a high-quality cleaning service and taking full responsibility for specific tasks in communal areas and residential flats within Hostels.
- To follow all cleaning procedures.
- To support the councils policies and procedures regarding Health and Safety and safe working practices.
- To risk assess areas work and tasks to ensure a healthy and safe working environment for employees and public at large.
- Identify repairs and report the condition of the flats and the communal areas within the hostel/s.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrates literacy & numeracy skills
- Possesses a professional recognised cleaning qualification (desirable)
Skills and Abilities:
- Demonstrates the ability to communicate well in a manner appropriate to individual needs, by phone or in person.
- Demonstrates the ability to apply a methodical approach.
- Demonstrates the ability to work as part of a team, showing a willingness to assist others and a commitment to meeting the objectives of the team.
- Demonstrates the ability to work unsupervised.
