The predicted salary is between 24000 - 36000 £ per year.

Helping companies improve safety, profitability, security, reliability and productivity through innovative solutions. Responsible for operational storekeeping activities to ensure stock is effectively received, controlled and made available to manufacturing team.

Reporting to the Head of Procurement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Receiving, booking-in and locating deliveries
  • Forklift truck operations
  • Picking parts and issuing to manufacturing
  • Liaison with workshop to ensure shortages and requirements are actioned
  • Replenishment of workshop consumables storage areas
  • Manning the Stores Counter
  • Preparing returns and parcels for dispatch
  • Resolving stock discrepancies including liaison with suppliers
  • Maintaining effective consumable stock control and raising orders for replenishment
  • Clearing parts from job shelves at end of projects
  • Managing procurement aspects of test equipment calibration process
  • Keeping stores clean and tidy
  • Contributing to business improvement projects to enhance functional procedures
  • Adhering to the Company's Quality and Health and Safety procedures
  • Adhering to Procurement and Company policies, processes and procedures
  • Any other duties directed by the Head of Procurement
Physical Demands:

The role involves standing and moving around for large parts of the working day, with a high level of mobility required. The role involves manual handling of parcels of up to 30kg using good manual handling practices, for which training will be provided.

Working Conditions:

The role will be based from a desk within Stores / Workshop area of building. Day-to-day activities will be carried out within Stores and Workshop areas generally. There is a requirement for making and receiving deliveries and running errands in the Company van on an ad-hoc basis.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
  • GCSE at C or above (or equivalent) in Maths and English
  • Experience in stores / warehouse role
  • Driving license
