Our helicopters and HEMS response vehicles operate 365 days a year, with highly skilled specialist doctors and HEMS paramedics on board providing enhanced pre-hospital care and hospital transfers to patients across the entire North West each year β an area covering 5,500 square miles and over 8 million people. Since we launched in 1999, the charity has been called to over 24,500 missions across the region, with the service called out an average of three times a day. Each year we must raise over Β£9.5 million to remain operational. We receive NO government or NHS funding β itβs only thanks to the generosity of people like you that we can continue flying to save lives.
You can help our lifesaving mission as a Fundraising Events Volunteer in Merseyside! This is an ad hoc, flexible role as and when we have events booked in. Our busiest periods are the summer and the festive period. We have a range of events from October to December that you can get involved with, including bag packs, bucket collections, running stalls, and street collections around Sefton and Liverpool.
Events volunteering is a great chance to try something new, work as part of a team, and build your CV (especially your communication/people skills and team working skills!). We can reimburse car mileage and/or public transport costs in line with our volunteer expenses policy and youβll receive training and support from our Community Fundraising and Events Fundraising teams.
