Support Children with SEN – Flexible SEN TA Role in Welwyn Garden City

Keep Education is currently recruiting passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants for supply roles in Welwyn Garden City. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of children with special educational needs, providing them with the support they need to succeed in a welcoming, inclusive school environment.

We offer flexible supply opportunities, whether you\’re seeking full-time or part-time work, and placements in a range of primary and secondary schools across the area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with special educational needs (e.g., ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language difficulties)

• Support pupils in accessing the curriculum and participating in classroom activities

• Assist in the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and support strategies

• Promote positive behaviour and help students with social and emotional development

• Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to monitor and assess pupil progress

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience working with children with special educational needs

• A patient, calm, and nurturing approach to working with children

• Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students and staff

• Flexibility to work in different schools and across various year groups

• A DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
