We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Kitchen Assistant to join our Hospitality team at our garden centre restaurant in Cheltenham. The role involves supporting our Chefs to produce a range of menu items from scratch using fresh, local, and seasonal ingredients. We serve hot breakfasts and lunches to order, plus snacks throughout the day. Your responsibilities will include washing up, food preparation, and providing cover for our chefs.
Webbs offers a great training environment to complement studies and gain experience in a fast-paced and interesting kitchen setting. This role may also suit an experienced Kitchen Assistant or Chef. This is a full-time, permanent position, working an average of 37.5 hours per week on a 2-week rota. The schedule involves working 4 weekdays plus every alternate weekend (4 days one week, with one weekday and the weekend off; then 6 days the following week, including both weekend days).
The ideal candidate will have previous kitchen or hospitality experience, pride in delivering exceptional customer service, and ideally some customer-facing experience in a similar environment. Knowledge of food hygiene and allergen awareness is advantageous, but full training will be provided. The role is based at our store in Cheltenham, so candidates must live within a reasonable commuting distance.
