Benefits:

We have a stable, permanent team manager and service manager group. You will be supported in your practice by your manager and receive regular reflective supervision.

We have a good range of support services including a Family Group Conference Service, family support workers within teams, and an extensive Early Help Offer to support the children and families.

Support Network:

  • 2 permanent consultant social workers who work closely with all our ASYE’s and social workers within the service.
  • Systemic Practitioners who offer consultations and support to all our staff.
  • Robust support within their HR framework.

We offer:

  • An initial 3-month minimum contract to create stability for our children and young people with the likelihood of an extension.
  • £29 to £37 per hour based on experience.
  • A 36-hour week. Hybrid working model, 3 days in Hub.
  • A supportive and permanent team and manager.
  • Regular supervision.

Our client is deeply committed to recruiting experienced social workers for roles in their New Safeguarding Teams. These teams will focus on Children in need casework (CIN), Children and families (domestic abuse), Child protection (CP).

Overview:

As a Senior Children’s Social Worker, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality services to children, young people, and their families. You will act as a lead professional, providing expert knowledge, guidance, and support to colleagues, while managing complex caseloads. This role requires a strong commitment to safeguarding, collaborative working, and improving outcomes for children and families.

Key Requirements:

  • Qualifications: A degree in Social Work and registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience: Significant post-qualification experience (2+ years), particularly in children’s services, and a proven ability to handle complex and high-risk cases.
  • Progress CIN / CP protection plans.
  • Knowledge:
  • A thorough understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures (e.g., Children Act 1989/2004, Working Together to Safeguard Children).
  • Strong grasp of child development, attachment theory, and the impact of trauma.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
    • Strong ability to manage competing demands and remain resilient under pressure.
