Are you a Transport Team member looking to step up into a transport team leader role? Do you like the idea of working on a large contract at a growing site?

Here at GXO, we are recruiting for a Transport Team Leader to join us at our site in Crewe. As a Transport Team Leader, you will play an important part in ensuring the efficient running of all transport functions while making sure Health and Safety & Transport compliance is a top priority.

This is a full-time, permanent role, working hours of 4 on 4 off night shift pattern, 6pm-6am .

We are looking to offer a salary of up to £35,642 + Night shift allowance per annum, and 26.5 days of annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays). What You’ll Do On a Typical Day

1. Supporting the dedicated transport operation for the GXO TJX network on the open book contract.
2. Managing and coordinating the work activities within your team.
3. Ensuring all deliveries and collections meet the required contractual performance standards.
4. Proactively managing the daily activities of GXO Logistics within the TJX contract.
5. Ensuring absence and holiday cover is in place for the role and assisting in absentee and holiday cover where required.

What You Need To Succeed At GXO

1. Strong working knowledge of telematics systems as well as Tachomaster.
2. Previous experience working within a fast-paced transport environment.
3. Transport compliance knowledge & experience.
4. Ideally experience leading a team previously.
5. CPC license – would be an advantage.
