The team/department: End User Compute provides change and run for a broad range of application and infrastructure services. We work in small cross-functional, self-organising, and autonomous teams, passionate about delivering value and having fun.
What you will be doing (the role):
- Analyzing designs to determine engineering requirements and activities.
- Conducting technical assessments and PoCs.
- Authoring and reviewing high-quality technical documentation.
- Managing Conditional Access Policies: Implementing and maintaining conditional access policies to ensure security and compliance across the organisation.
- Creating Compliance Dashboards: Developing and maintaining PowerBI dashboards to monitor compliance, optimize infrastructure services, and ensure high availability.
- Utilizing Kusto Query Language (KQL): Creating KQL queries to extract relevant data and generate visual workbooks for analysis and reporting.
- Building and maintaining the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) for Azure resources, mapping dependencies to ensure accurate asset management and resource tracking.
- Collaborating with Azure Stakeholders: Working closely with the Azure Product Architect, FinOps Analyst, and Product Owners to develop and manage Azure budgets and set up cost alerts.
- Optimizing the Azure Platform: Continuously monitoring, improving, and optimizing the Azure platform to enhance performance, security, and cost-efficiency. Leveraging automation to enhance efficiency, speed up processes, and reduce manual intervention.
- Collaborating with the Resiliency Team: Working with the Resiliency Team to develop, implement, and regularly test disaster recovery plans for Azure resources, ensuring data integrity and service continuity.

Skills and Experience - Minimum:
- Subject matter expert in Azure platforms, services, and engineering.
- Experience designing, engineering, and maintaining cloud-based solutions in Azure.
- Proficiency in Azure IAM, Conditional Access Policies, SAML SSO, VMs, Storage, Networking, Azure Functions, Defender for Cloud, Azure Firewall, Azure Virtual WAN, and VNet Peering.
- Understanding of automation techniques and configuration management tools such as Terraform, PowerShell, and Azure CLI.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, Bicep, or ARM.
- Knowledge of Azure Policies and Landing Zone Architecture.
- Relevant Azure certifications demonstrating in-depth expertise.
