We are seeking a technically capable and commercially experienced Business Development Manager to join a rapidly expanding technology company developing advanced LED illumination systems for OEM integration in industrial and machine vision applications.
Role Overview
You will be responsible for identifying, developing, and converting new OEM business opportunities within global industrial markets. This includes driving strategic growth initiatives, managing key accounts, and supporting market development for new applications in optical inspection and automation technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and qualify OEM opportunities across sectors including machine vision, industrial inspection, and automation
- Convert new leads into long-term commercial relationships and recurring revenue
- Develop and maintain technical and commercial relationships with OEMs and strategic partners
- Represent the company at technical conferences, exhibitions, and customer meetings
- Prepare and deliver reports on market trends, pipeline development, and strategic outcomes
Candidate Profile
- At least 1-2 yearsβ experience in business development, technical sales, or OEM partnerships within semi-conductors, materials science, optics, instrumentation or closely related
- Excellent commercial judgment and stakeholder engagement skills
- Proficiency with CRM systems
- Willingness to travel internationally as required, around 10 weeks per year
The role will be based in Andover with 2 days per week required onsite. Travel will be expected to trade shows and conferences for around 10 weeks of the year.
