We’re seeking an experienced Damp and Mould Surveyor to join our team on a long-term contract, working across a diverse housing stock to identify and resolve cases of damp, disrepair, and structural defects. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring safe, healthy living environments for tenants by delivering expert surveys and recommendations for remedial action.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth surveys to diagnose the causes of damp, condensation, mould, and associated building defects.
- Assess complex disrepair and structural issues in residential properties.
- Prepare clear, evidence-based reports with recommendations for repairs and mitigation.
- Liaise with property teams, contractors, and residents to support the delivery of remedial works.
- Ensure all assessments are carried out in line with relevant legislation and health & safety standards.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in damp & mould surveying, ideally in the social housing or residential sector.
- Strong understanding of building pathology and structural repair techniques.
- Familiarity with disrepair protocol and legal compliance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., HNC/HND in Building Surveying, CSRT, CIOB, or RICS membership preferred).
Offering hybrid working, excellent working conditions, 6 month initial contract with scope for extension.
