Full Time - TEMP TO PERM

North Leeds: September start

I am recruiting for an experienced Qualified general Secondary Teacher to start a full-time long-term role at an alternative provision in the North of Leeds. The alternative provision provides secondary age students with short term teaching & support tailored to the pupils' needs and challenging behaviour. This can consist of intensive nurturing provision group work and one to one support. Class sizes will be a maximum of 8 pupils per class.

You will be teaching Key Stage 3 students a wide range of curriculum content including: English, Math, B-tech Art and Workshop skills, PSHE, with PPA time included into your timetable. It is vital you have a passion and enthusiasm to teach students with dysregulated behaviours.

Job Spec & Description:

  • Must hold Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching students with additional needs and dysregulated behaviours.
  • Strong behaviour management skills.
  • Planning & preparing across curriculum content.
  • Flexibility to attend meetings.
  • Delivery of lessons to keep pupils engaged and encourage them to stay on task.
  • Must hold DBS on subscription service.
