Are you looking to be part of a vital team at one of the UK's busiest airports? We're hiring Waste Operatives / Cleaners on behalf of our client at Manchester Airport, to play a crucial role in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for passengers and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Empty and change all bins across land side and air side areas.
- Segregate waste in designated service yards following correct recycling and disposal protocols.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
- Maintain Foreign Object Debris (FOD) bins and oil bins for safe hazardous waste disposal.
- Identify and report issues related to waste collection and hazardous materials.
- Uphold hygiene and cleanliness standards throughout all assigned airport zones.
- Work collaboratively with the wider cleaning and waste management team.
- Act as a brand ambassador for Search, our client and Manchester Airport, delivering professional service at all times.
Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence, held for over a year with no more than 6 penalty points.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an airport ID (includes background checks and security clearance).
- Physically fit - able to lift, carry, and handle bins and materials regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to hygiene standards.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- PVG preferred but not essential.
- Must provide references covering the last 5 years, with no gaps over 28 days.
