Due to increased business, my client is looking to recruit a Sales Executive to join their well-established team, based in South Cheshire. The company supplies niche consumable products into a variety of industries including the pet industry, cosmetics, filtration and food production. The aim of the job is to win new business and manage and develop existing and lapsed customers. This is a UK based role but preference will be given to candidates living in the Cheshire area as office working will be required some of the time. Travel throughout the UK will be required and some nights away will be necessary which will be fully expensed.

Responsibilities:

  • Business Relationship Building.
  • Researching markets and related products.
  • Presenting the products favourably and in a structured and professional way, face to face.
  • Listening to customers' requirements and presenting appropriately to make a sale.
  • Maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers in person and via telephone calls and emails.
  • Arranging and responding to meetings with potential customers to prospect for new business.
  • Responding to incoming emails and phone enquiries.
  • Acting as a contact between a company and its existing and potential markets.
  • Negotiating the terms of an agreement and closing sales.
  • Gathering market and customer information.
  • Representing the company at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations.
  • Negotiating on price, costs, delivery and specifications with buyers and managers.
  • Attending internal team meetings to share best practices and information.

The role would suit candidates with some previous experience in a sales role, ideally within a similar industry such as agriculture, livestock, pet supplies, or similar consumables. An interest in these areas is a definite advantage in order to further build and develop relationships with customers. The company is also looking for someone to develop in this role and provide succession to the more senior Sales staff. This is an excellent opportunity to join a very well-established, friendly, family run business who provide good working conditions and very generous benefits and bonuses in recognition of hard work and achievements.
