We're recruiting for a Production Coordinator to join a fast-paced manufacturing team based in East Kilbride. This role is ideal for someone with experience in production planning or coordination, confident working across departments to keep schedules on track and issues resolved quickly.
You'll be the key link between teams, distributing work orders, monitoring progress, handling shop floor queries, and ensuring production targets are met.
What you'll be doing:
- Distributing work orders across departments to meet production targets
- Prioritising urgent orders and managing changes to the schedule when needed
- Consolidating jobs where possible to improve workflow and reduce delays
- Planning print runs 2-4 weeks in advance to keep ahead of production deadlines
- Handling issues on the shop floor including scrap, rework, and quarantined parts
- Acting as the central point of contact for all production-related queries
- Supporting communication between teams and ensuring everyone is aligned
- Using internal systems and Excel to manage, update, and report on live jobs
What we're looking for:
- Experience in production planning, coordination, or expediting
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement
- Confidence working across departments including the shop floor
- Comfortable using planning systems and Excel for reporting
- Able to stay calm and focused in a fast-paced environment
What you can expect:
- £28,000 - £30,000 depending on experience
- 4 day working week - Monday to Thursday, 37.5 hours
- Overtime available
- Company bonus paid twice a year
