Whatever the question, the ITV Insights Group is here to lead the business to its most successful future by putting insight, powered by research and data, at the heart of every key decision.
Responsibilities:
- Provision of accurate and insightful analysis on how our viewers engage and consume the nation’s best-loved and most-watched content, across broadcast, VOD or SVOD (Subscription Video on Demand).
- Communicating insight to stakeholders from technical leads to copywriters in a strategically-minded and impactful manner.
- Analysing audience journeys to content, and providing insight on our content and viewers to drive business value.
- Promoting and embedding data experimentation and innovation within the content space to drive growth and value across the streaming and broadcast business.
- Building relationships with stakeholders and helping embed new methodologies and ways of working in decision making processes.
- Building innovative analytical solutions to cover issues such as content release strategies and clusters, or viewer segmentations that ladder up to our KPIs.
- As part of a cross-functional team, developing and embedding dashboarding solutions for business stakeholders, enabling a culture of self-service analytics.
- Collaborating with subject matter experts across a range of disciplines, including Insight Managers, Data Scientists, Analysts and Data stakeholders to drive projects forward.

- Comfortable presenting analysis across a range of formats (Google and Microsoft applications) and experience with data visualisation tools such as Tableau or Looker Studio.
- Strong analytical skills, including a solid grasp of statistical concepts and techniques, with the ability to synthesise data from multiple sources to deliver data-driven insights aligned with stakeholder needs; underpinned by a deep understanding of ITV’s full range of programmes, channels, and its position within the global media landscape.
Other things we’re looking for (key criteria):
- Experience working with cloud-based platforms such as GCP (BigQuery), AWS (Redshift) and Databricks preferable.
- Keen problem solver who can demonstrate critical thinking, coupled with strong communication skills.
- Ability to work in a collaborative and cross-functional environment.
