Graduate Chemical Engineer's Key Responsibilities:- Lead and Develop Teams: Provide operational leadership, skill development, and succession planning to build a high-performing shift team.
- Drive Operational Efficiency: Implement decisions to optimize cost per tonne through efficient raw material processing and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure Engineering and Maintenance Standards: Manage both proactive and reactive engineering tasks, supporting maintenance plans and budgets.
- Champion Safety and Compliance: Promote a strong safety culture, ensure adherence to QES&H standards, and lead site response in incidents.
- Foster Collaboration and Standardization: Work with other managers and experts to share best practices and ensure consistent policy implementation across the site.
- Must have a Chemical Engineering qualification at degree level as a minimum.
- An understanding of Lean Manufacturing.
- Ability to lead, coach and develop a high performing team.
- Must have a full UK Driving License with access to a car for commuting (site is in a remote location so public transport is not suitable).
- Have a willingness to learn and take on training in role.
This is a full time permanent role working on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern working 12 hour shifts, rotating between nights and days.
