Our work includes litigation and arbitration, research and due diligence, financing and legal filings, and managing contracts and intellectual property rights. YOUR IMPACT We seek a lawyer to join the Fixed Income, Currency and Commodities (FICC) legal team, focusing on supporting our cash bond trading, interest rate derivatives, and hedging strategies for corporates. The role involves transactional, trading, and regulatory advice across a broad range of cash and derivatives products. The team advises on structuring and executing transactions, developing new platforms and services, regulatory and market structure matters, and managing legal and reputational risks. We collaborate with stakeholders including trading, investment banking, compliance, internal audit, and operations. Responsibilities include: Advising on risk management and cross-border legal issues, especially related to complex hedging and financing structures, market reforms, and new product development. Assisting with structuring, negotiating, and drafting client and transactional documents, including coordination with external counsel. Providing advice on the impact of EU and UK regulatory developments related to cash and derivatives FICC businesses. SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Minimum of 3 years post-qualification relevant experience in a comparable institution or reputable law firm. Experience advising on regulatory and transactional matters, preferably related to derivatives and fixed income. Exposure to financial market regulations such as EMIR and MiFID II. Ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly and accessibly. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Proactive with effective prioritization skills in a challenging environment. Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills, capable of working with diverse global stakeholders including trading, sales, control functions, and legal teams.
