Principal Biochemist – Scientific Consulting

Newton Colmore Consulting is working with a leading scientific consulting firm in Cambridge, seeking a principal-level Biochemist to join their team.

This role offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced biochemist to work within a multidisciplinary team on innovative technology at the intersection of science and engineering. Your expertise will support projects in bioanalysis, biopharma, and life sciences R&D.

You will operate at the interface of reagent design, systems engineering, and consumable operation, utilizing your experience in assay design, experimental validation, and scale-up processes, while collaborating closely with clients throughout the project lifecycle.

The role involves working on new ideas and technologies across biochemistry applications, including IVD, single-cell analysis, and antibody screening.

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of molecular and cellular biochemistry
• Proven experience with novel biochemistry applications and techniques
• Excellent academic background, ideally with a PhD
