About us: Ian J Brown & Co have grown as a business over the years, and during this time we have embraced new digital practices introducing them into our traditional accountancy ways. At the heart of our focus, we support clients to ensure they benefit from the effective use of digital accounting software and platforms. Due to our continued rapid growth, we are now seeking an Accounts Assistant to join our team!
Main Responsibilities:
- Preparation of annual accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
- Preparation of CT600s and income tax returns
- Preparation and submission of income tax returns
- Bookkeeping
- Payroll
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience with a similar role within an accountancy practice
- Experience of preparing accounts to trial balance stage and beyond
- Experience of cloud accounting products, preferably Xero
- Excellent communication skills as you will be dealing directly with our clients
