About the role

We are looking to recruit an exceptional Teacher of Music who will have the opportunity to deliver lessons and lead clubs across Key Stages 3 and 4. A well-qualified and passionate individual, the successful candidate will bring enthusiasm and a commitment to supporting pupils to achieve the highest levels of success alongside our experienced team of peri teachers. The Music Department has developed considerably over the last few years and this role provides an exciting opportunity for a teacher keen to develop their skills or seeking a new challenge.

As a Teacher of Music at North Bridge House Senior, you will:

  • Lead teaching development and learning to maximise student achievement
  • Oversee planning of work in the Music Department in line with National Curriculum and specification requirements
  • Facilitate lessons for Years 7-11
  • Lead Clubs across Key Stage 3 and 4
  • Establish good and effective communication with parents regarding musical performances and activities led by or involving the Music Department.
  • Take responsibility for promoting, coordinating and participating in Music activities throughout the school year via clubs (before and after school and at lunch), concerts, enrichment activities, guest-performers, themed weeks and House competitions.

This role is immediately available but the successful applicant may also start in September 2025.

Who we are looking for

You will have a good honours degree in Music as well as practical teaching experience in Music. You will also be a highly effective communicator with excellent organisational and planning skills, creative thinking and computer literacy.
