A leading FMCG food Manufacturer is currently recruiting for a Warehouse Manager to join their expanding team. This Warehouse Manager will need proven experience in hands-on stock management/stock control as well as outstanding leadership skills. Former experience in a small to medium Food Manufacturer/Food 3PL will be deemed advantageous.

Reporting into the Head of Supply Chain, this Warehouse Manager will manage the distribution operations comprising warehouse and logistics for wholesale, and the assembly and dispatch of retail across multiple selling platforms. Stock numbers and control, and people management, will be essential elements of this role.

Warehouse Manager responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for stock management and accuracy of inventory levels.
  • Effectively manage a varied team against the agreed annual plan by formulation of granular weekly plans.
  • Achieve and maintain elevated levels of customer service; responsible for performance to KPIs including deliver on time in full, distribution cost per tonne, stock accuracy and NCRs.
  • Ensure efficient use of warehouse space to keep stock at optimum levels, and utilisation of 3PL warehouse during peak periods managed through effective supplier relationships.
  • Ensure compliance to all Health, Safety, Hygiene and Environmental policies and audits.
  • Build positive relationships internally cross department, and externally with carriers, hauliers and other logistics service providers.
  • Deliver continuous improvement to ensure optimisation of performance, cost reduction, service delivery improvements through best practice and standard operating procedures.
  • Investigate non-conformance reports and implement necessary corrective actions to increase organisation efficiency and underpin customer service.

You will be a Warehouse Manager used to working within a Food Manufacturing/Food 3PL environment and have strong people management as well as excellent stock management. You will be numerically proficient, with strong IT skills (particularly Excel).
