Team/Role Overview:

The role is cross cluster role supporting UK, Europe, and MEA clusters.

The incumbent will be a key member of the UK Controls and Regulatory In-Business Risk team reporting to the Treasury & Trade Solutions (TTS) UK In-Business Risk Lead.

The role integrates in-depth risks and controls knowledge with a solid understanding of the TTS UK franchise. More specifically, the individual will play a key role in managing and mitigating operational, compliance and regulatory risks, and executing risk and control responsibilities for the business as a First Line of Defence function. Further, the individual will support the preparation of multiple governance forum submissions for the TTS UK franchise.

The individual will act as SME to the wider In Business Risk team, work very closely with Product In Business Risk as well as the wider Citi Risk and Control community, and have senior management exposure. She/He will contribute supporting the TTS senior manager under the UK Senior Manager Regime.

What you\’ll do:

  • Work with existing SMEs to gain an understanding of our existing processes and oversight, ensuring detective controls are in place and monitored
  • Gain an in-depth knowledge of our processes to ensure compliance to the relevant Policies and Standards
  • Provide governance on issue management oversight process to ensure timely remediation aligned with the issue management policy and standard.
  • Liaise with our Risk & Controls teams (our 1st line of defence) to ensure appropriate understanding of requirements where updates or new Policies are identified
  • Critically evaluate concerns/proposals/processes to ensure a full understanding of any potential risk is identified and addressed
  • Work with our 2nd line of defence teams to support the \’challenge\’ of what we do
  • Work with the broader team to identify, assess, escalate, and manage risk exposures across various Risk Categories
  • Support the clusters with various cross cluster or global initiatives and program roll out

  • Relevant risk and control experience.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Outstanding relationship building and relationship management skills.
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects across teams and work effectively under pressure in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Self-motivated and detail oriented.
