Lead all Google-related initiatives within the organization by positioning Google products as the preferred choice for business solutions. Develop and nurture strong relationships with internal stakeholders to gain a deep understanding of key business challenges. Collaborate closely with Google representatives and partners to stay informed of the evolving Google technology roadmap. Translate this insight into a comprehensive Google strategy that aligns with business needs and drives innovation, efficiency, and growth.
Principal Accountabilities
- Accountable for building long term strategic relationships with senior stakeholders, with a strong understanding of business problems and act as a single point of contact to advise on services and act as the evangelist for products offered from Google Workspace.
- Ensure the Technology & Data Google strategy aligns with Business strategy and objectives ensuring the business operates a ‘Google first’ approach to solving business problems, and have a detailed plan of objectives and key results agreed with the business and ensure the agreed outcomes are delivered.
- Accountable for the service received from our Google partner, negotiate at senior level on technical and commercial issues and ensures regular service meetings are in place, all SLA’s & KPI’s are tracked and reported on, and influences the development and enhancement of services.
- Accountable for working with the business and Google partner to ensure campaigns and plans are created that maximise the use of Google products and reduces costs of any alternatives, ensuring these meet the business requirements, as well as regular communications to upskill all colleagues on Google features.
- Manage all associated Financial budgets, identify, track and report risks on any license issues, also all benefits realised, and alternative products reduced and savings made.
- Responsible for ensuring we are at the forefront of what is new in Google, we have active participation in Google’s Alpha programme and selected beta test programmes, ensuring feedback captured and fed back to partner and Google, as well as feeding back business problems that are not yet part of the Google roadmap.
- Lead and coach a team of individuals to excellent performance. Nurture emerging talent to become future leaders and manage poor performance using the Travis Perkins people manager toolkit.
- Ensure all HR processes are followed for the entire team to include PDR’s, Annual Reviews, absence, & disciplinary policies etc.
- Provide thought leadership on Google Workspace strategy to the business.
What you’ll need to have/be:
- Professional Qualification (degree or significant industry experience).
- Experience at a senior level in previous roles demonstrating ability to build relationships.
- Proven experience of managing staff in a matrix structure through significant organisational, structural and technology change.
- Able to demonstrate strategic problem solving.
- Experience in managing 3rd party service providers.
- Delivering training and communications for a large scale workforce.
- Ability to manage key financial metrics.
- Experience in leadership and leading a team.
- Problem solving and analytical skills.
- Strong negotiating skills.
- Effective listener and communicator, with strong non verbal skills.
- Ability to present to large audiences.
- Is able to resolve conflict with both internal and external parties.
- Strong experience of SaaS solutions.
