Based at St Paul's RC Academy, you will work full time, 37 hours per week for Children and Families Services Technical Services Team.

Requirements

  • You will have an HNC/SVQ Level 3 in a technical related subject or be a time served crafts person.

Responsibilities

  • Provide an efficient technical support service throughout the Children and Families Service.
  • Support CDT teaching staff to deliver learning and teaching activities.
  • Ensure the effective use of technical resources and designated staff.
  • Undertake technician service functions, including repair and maintenance of materials and equipment.
  • Ensure adherence to Health & Safety Regulations.

The Individual

  • You will have technical knowledge gained in an education setting or busy work environment.
  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and IT.
  • Knowledge of health and safety matters.
  • Experience in analytical work and problem solving.
  • Highly developed organizational skills and the ability to manage your own work with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to work with pupils in a classroom setting and undertake relevant training.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment by Dundee City Council.
