Safety, Health, Environment and Quality Advisor Ipswich Circa £55,000 + Car Allowance & Excellent Benefits Irwin and Colton have been engaged by a leading Principal Contractor to recruit their new SHEQ Advisor to operate across their sites in the East Anglia region. This organisation is a leader within the industry looking to further grow the existing team. The successful candidate will be working across a range of construction projects, as such, previous multi-site experience will be beneficial. Responsibilities for the SHEQ Advisor will include: Engaging across the sites, implementing health and safety policies and procedures and ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation Conducting training, toolbox talks, inductions and investigating incidents where required Reviewing the production of risk assessments and method statements and answering any health and safety related queries Undertaking audits and inspections of the site, identifying areas for improvement and reporting on the findingsThe successful SHEQ Advisor candidate will have: Proven experience in a similar role ideally from within construction or a related industry NEBOSH Certificate and ideally membership of IOSH Excellent communications skills with the ability to tailor a message and communicate succinctly to a range of stakeholders Drive and enthusiasm with the willingness to learn, develop and grow in the roleThis position will require a self-starter who can lead by example and hit the ground running.
